On the Eve of ....

The day of my birth.

Not too excited about my birthday this year - they say another year older but really it is just 1 day older!

This is what my coffee table looks like -

 

I have 2 horrific coldsores and a swollen face/cheek. I had the flu/hayfever last week and now a sore on the side of my nose and lip. Lucky the wedding isn't until the end of September, I fell like elephant woman!

I found an old US 1 dollar bill and some coins, I think I have $2.82 and some dimes - not sure what they are , maybe 10 cents? I wonder if they still have one cent coins as I have a few brown ones. Apparently the subway in NYC costs $2 for a ticket so might have to take my stash.

I had a dress fitting for my Bridesmaid dress today - it is going to be great!

Not much else to report. See you tomorrow when I will be 30+. Bye.

Progressive dinner party ....

Was a huge success! We started with Mojito's and nibbles at my place then got our torch and headed down the back lane to Kates for curries.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The chocolate covered strawberries & muscat were a hit!

Today it is raining and so much cooler after 36 yesterday! One of my neighbours has a very loud sheep - yes a sheep carrying on all morning!

I am going to do a trial pack for overseas & not much else, bye.

Birthdays ....

Today was Julie's Birthday. We have a weird rule at NAB that when it is your birthday or you are going on holidays you have to shout morning tea. I think it is a bit unfair to have to shout when it is your own birthday! Anyway Sarah ( our new girl - she is only 20 & so cute so I thought it was really nice ) made Julie a cake - it was so good!

 

You will all think I am crazy for this next shot. Every morning in the shower - I have a weird shower with no shower screen or curtain & it faces a window! Don't worry it is very private with high hedges and an automatic gate that so people can't get in & peep! Anyway I look at this each morning & think the colours are nice.

 

After work Kate & I hit Coles to shop for the big dinner party, we then went to her place and cooked up 2 delicious curries! How organised. Bye.

W W Wednesday ....

This week has been long & tough!

Tonight Nic came over, she has moved to PNG so was good to catch up. I didn't cook any gourmet creations, we ordered thai

 

I wrapped up some presents and made them look cute

 

What else ? The funeral on Monday was so very sad, I felt so drained after. I guess it is good to have a good cry & let it all out. They said there were over 1,000 people, the photo slide show and songs at the end really got to me.

We had a Rugby meeting last night, I am quite thankful the season is over.

I have also been sick, felt so bad today with a cold / flu, totally over sneezing!

Kate & I are having a progressive dinner party this weekend. Should be interesting, cocktails and nibbles at my place then down the lane for dinner at her place. We have about 12 & hope we can pull it off! Any good cocktail recipes?

My Birthday is next week!

I have made a big list of things to do before I go overseas. From work to Rugby to the actual wedding. I have a dress fitting on Saturday.

Hello Friday ....

What have I been up to?

Thursday night means scrapbooking. I found in Orange that the ironing board makes for an excellent tripod, exactly the right height.

 

The NAB boys were very excited to be invited to lunch at The Women's club today

 

Tonight I had a real Photography job. I wont be giving up the day job just yet but you never know. My dream would be to be a professional photographer.

Today was so nice - 28 degrees - what has happened to Winter? Tomorrow - a sleep in followed by a pedi at beauty Matters then we hit Narrari for a Jimmy Barnes concert! Bye.

I also met up with these like minded scrapbookers for coffee. We didn't have to talk much as we read each others Blogs and know all about each other!

 

I had a girl from work with me who thought we were all crazy for wanting a photo & you can see her in the pic - funny! Bye.

Very poor showing tonight - 5 in total, 1 had read the book & another almost finished (3 no intention of ever reading it)!

Sushi Wednesday today for lunch.

Another week ....

The weekend came and went far too quickly & now it is Tuesday night! Time is flying lately.

Thought I would show you my lillies still going strong ( o.k a few look a bit sick but I keep changing the water & they seem o.k for a few more days )

 

My plant seems to like the change of address as I have flowers! It may be a weird shape but flowers!

 

I ordered some goodies on-line for the Ali Edwards class, I got them in a week & the exchange rate is pretty good from the US

 

I had a visit from one of my bosses on Monday. He is relatively new and has moved to Tamworth from Sydney. He came out to talk to me about a file that my Credit manager felt I had not followed policy on. I didn't think I had done anything wrong, anyway to make a long story short I am in a bit of trouble and have to wait to find out if I will be given some sort of a warning! Woops! Am a tad worried about it.

On a very sad note we had a tragic accident in Moree on Sunday, one of the Rugby boys was hit by a car on the highway outside the Rugby grounds and killed. He was only 21, so awful. We had a meeting last night and most of the boys are pretty shaken up as you can imagine. The funeral is Monday so hopefully we can celebrate his life and not be too morbid and sad. Such a tragic loss.

Tonight I am washing - catching up from the weekend.

I almost forgot here is a pic of Billy in the bath from the weekend in Orange. Billy is almost 8 mths old - how amazing are those eyelashes - they touch his eyebrows!

 

This one is of Robbie about 5 mths old in 2005 - I know same bath chair so they look the same but they are very similiar

 

I couldn't find one of Charlie in the bath but here he is 6mths old 2007

 

They all have the same eyes! Robbie and Charlie seem so grown up you forget what they were like as babies. Robbie is starting Prep next year!

I had a very early start this morning with a breakfast meeting at 7am. I am also off to Ag-Quip Thursday and am going to meet up with 2 girls from Blog Land Brenda & Jodie so that will be fun.
